Central Nervous System Infection Panel (PISA-CNS)

Based on super-multiplex targeted amplification and NGS technology, Central Nervous System Infection Panel can be used for the detection of 178 pathogens at once, including 52 bacteria, 25 fungi, 13 special pathogens (Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Rickettsia), 22 DNA viruses, 55 RNA viruses and 11 parasites. Moreover, it can be performed for the dual detection of DNA and RNA pathogens. This panel is suitable for patients who are suspected central nervous system infections where the etiology is unclear, empirical treatments have proven ineffective, and the severity ranges from mild to moderate to severe, including those with immunodeficiency (suppression). The samples can be cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), brain puncture fluid, drainage fluid, brain tissue, etc.
